ISO 27017 / 18

Overview

ISO/IEC 27018 is an international privacy certification that focuses on protecting personally identifiable information (PII) in the context of public cloud computing services. This certification includes the additional controls and implementation guidance of ISO/IEC 27017:2015, which demonstrates cloud computing security, and ISO/IEC 27018:2019, which demonstrates cloud data privacy protection.

Certification is performed by an independent third-party auditor and provides assurance that certain security controls are in place and operating effectively.
